WEST CHESTER TWP. — A popular Dayton-based restaurant announced today that it has closed its Butler County location “effective immediately.”
“It is with heavy hearts that we share this news and we so appreciate the West Chester community for all of the support they’ve shown us,” Milano’s Pizza, Subs & Taps wrote today via social media. “We are making every effort to relocate our current employees to other Milano’s locations.”
The restaurant chain, which first opened in 1969 near the University of Dayton, has locations in Dayton, Beavercreek and Miami Twp. Those locations will not be affected by the West Chester Twp. closure, according to the post.
Any outstanding gift cards customers have may be redeemed at any of those locations.
Milano’s opened its West Chester Twp. location in January 2014, replacing Marlin & Ray’s.
The restaurant chain serves sub sandwiches, cheesesteaks, pizzas, calzones, appetizers, soups, salads and desserts.
“The opportunity arose to sell this property which includes both the building and the land,” the restaurant said in a reply to an online message. “We made this decision carefully and determined that the sale fit our future plan and the new owner would be a great addition to the area.”
