Power restored after Wednesday’s storms leave 1,400 Beavercreek customers in the dark

Power has been restored to all Dayton Power & Light customers in Beavercreek after strong storms Wednesday night knocked out power to more than 1,400 homes.

Approximately 717 DP&L customers in Beavercreek are still without power after storms moved through the area Wednesday night, Mary Ann Kabel, DP&L director of operations, said.

Approximately 1,400 homes lost power during the height of the bad weather, she said.

Kabel said the new number of outages is about 717 and crews are working to restore service by 11 p.m.

Crews are in the area already, still working to repair damage and restore service from the Memorial Day tornado outbreak.
