GREENVILLE — The same Darke County swine barn that was characterized as “a towering inferno” by fire crews as it burned Oct. 25 is undergoing renovations so it will be ready for the Great Darke County Fair in August.
Today, crews are making progress rebuilding the swine barn and putting up new framing.
The fire that engulfed the structure in October also caused heat damage to multiple surrounding barns at the fairgrounds including the Cow Palace, which caught fire in 2013.
Most of the walls in the swine barn collapsed onto the main floor. The roof also was damaged.
