TRENTON — All Edgewood City Schools in Trenton are closed and classes canceled due to an “active threat,” according to the school’s Twitter page and website.

The tweet was posted to the school’s Twitter account Wednesday around 6:30 a.m.
No students or staff should report to school, according to the post.
Edgewood Middle School students who arrived early were placed in lockdown, according to a live feed on the school’s website.
The school reported around 7:15 a.m. that all students are safe and parents or guardians can pick up their child from school.
We are working to learn what the reported threat was and when it first occurred.
