2 arrested, 1 injured after crash escalates into fight

DAYTON — Two men were arrested and one person was hospitalized after a crash escalated into a fight on West Third Street in Dayton Monday night, according to police.

Reginald Langford, 48 was arrested on a charge of felonious assault and Mark Gillespie, 38, was arrested on felonious assault and misconduct at an emergency charges, according to a Dayton police incident report.

Both Langford and Gillespie remain booked in the Montgomery County Jail Tuesday afternoon.

Police said at least one person was taken to an area hospital with injuries after the crash on West Third Street and Liscum Drive around 7:30 p.m. Monday.

Officers on the scene told our crew, the drivers got into a fist fight after crashing. One of the driver’s family reportedly joined the fight.

The crash victim was not identified, however police said they suffered serious injuries in the crash, but not the fight.

The other driver was not taken to the hospital.
