Deputies: Woman hospitalized after home invasion robbery at Harrison Twp. home

HARRISON TWP. — A woman was taken to an area hospital after three burglars broke into her Harrison Twp. home early Thursday morning and assaulted her, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to the home in the 200 block of West Siebenthaler Avenue around 12:30 a.m. on first reports of a shooting. Investigators said the victim, a woman, was later found suffering from a head injury after an assault.

The woman was transported to Miami Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A preliminary investigation found that three people kicked in the front door of the home. One of the burglars then assaulted the woman before all three ran out of the back of the home, deputies said.

Butler Twp. police responded with a K9 unit and attempted to track the burglars but was unsuccessful.
