1 injured in collision on Clark County road involving car, farm vehicle, state patrol says

SPRINGFIELD TWP. — UPDATE @ 9:55 p.m.: The driver of a car has been taken to a hospital after apparently striking a farm vehicle on Old Clifton Road, a state trooper’s supervisor said.

The car, identified as a Cadillac sedan, was headed south on Old Clifton near East Possum Road when it clipped the left front tire of the oncoming vehicle the trooper described as a spreader. The collision knocked the tire off the farm vehicle and sent the sedan off the roadway, where it ended up against a pole.


The driver of the car has been taken to Miami Valley Hospital. The person’s condition was not immediately available.

The spreader operator apparently was not injured.

INITIAL REPORT

A section of Old Clifton Road, south of Springfield, will remain closed at least three hours after a vehicle accident there Wednesday afternoon, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

The road is shut down between East Sparrow and East Possum roads.

The accident was reported sometime after 6 p.m.
