REPORT: High winds blamed in crash of 2 semitrailers on I-70

HENRY COUNTY, INDIANA — High wind is being blamed for the crash of two semitrailers, which toppled on I-70 in Henry County, Indiana, the Indiana State Patrol dispatch in Pendleton said.

One of the semis was eastbound; the other was westbound, the dispatcher said. The accident initially was reported about 9:30 p.m.

There was no word on whether either driver was injured.

The interstate has since reopened.

In Wayne County, a sheriff’s dispatcher confirmed reports of downed trees. Keith Grover, of Fountain City, said there were trees down in his front yard.

"It was a pretty intense storm" that came through, he said.

Fountain City is along U.S. 27, north of I-70, about 41 miles west of Dayton.
