National Trail Elementary School student tests postive for COVID-19

NEW PARIS — A National Trail Elementary School student has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a release made by the school district Friday.

The student was last at school on October 20 and after contract tracing, there are currently twelve students who are considered to have been close in relation to the student who tested positive. No members of staff are considered to be in close relation from the contract tracing, according to the release.

The school district also said that currently the student is in isolation and will remain so until they have been cleared by Preble County Public Health Department.

This is now the fifth student case of COVID-19 with the first case reported on September 26, 2020.
