At least 1 detained by police after SUV crashes into the front of a home in Carlisle

CARLISLE — UPDATE @ 10:40 p.m.: At least one person has been detained by Germantown police after an SUV smashed into the front of the home on Jamaica Road.

There were people in the home, which sits 75 or so yards from the bend at Jamaica Road, when the vehicle hit the front porch. Germantown fire personnel said minimal damage was done to the porch. None of the people in the home was injured.

There were multiple people in the vehicle, though the officers on scene would not confirm how many. None of the people in the vehicle suffered any injury, the officers said.

INITIAL REPORT

Police and a fire crew are on the scene of a vehicle that reportedly has crashed into a house in the 10,000 block of Jamaica Road in Carlisle.

The incident was reported about 9:33 p.m. and we're hearing an SUV has crashed through the front of the home.

We have not heard any word on injuries.

We have a crew on the way.
