Commercial vehicle spill on I-75 in northern Warren County was fuel leak, state patrol says

NORTHERN WARREN COUNTY — UPDATE @ 6 p.m.: The incident that caused a partial shut down of I-75 North in northern Warren County involved a fuel leak from a commercial vehicle, a trooper with the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

The leak did not require a hazmat response, the trooper said.

All northbound lanes have been reopened.

INITIAL REPORT

A commercial vehicle leaking a substance believed to be a chemical on I-75 North, near the Franklin/Springboro exit, has prompted a hazmat response and the shut down of at least two lanes on the interstate.

The right two lanes are closed until further notice, according to the Lebanon Post, Ohio State Highway Patrol. Franklin fire units are on scene as well.

We have not heard any reports of injury.

A trooper noticed the leak and stopped the vehicle along the interstate, between state Routes 73 (West Central Avenue in Springboro) and 123 (East 6th Street in Franklin).

We have a crew on the way and we will update this developing report as we learn more.
