— Silent Disco.
That might sound like an oxymoron, but Therapy Cafe is going to show you why it isn’t.
Below, you’ll find five reasons why you should give it a shot.
>> Best places to see live music in Dayton
1.) A concept that started in bigger cities and has been a traveling hit at large music festivals like Bonnaroo, Silent Disco can be found monthly at Therapy Cafe at 452 E 3rd St. and is best be described as a party for one, in a room of hundreds.
>> This downtown Dayton building is being turned into an event and music venue
2.) It’s like a musical choose-your-own-adventure with three local DJ’s. Each spinning a different genre. All you have to do is set your headphones and dance!
>> Developer plans to transform 158-year-old Oregon District church
3.) The color-coordinating, specialized headphones light up according to the station selected, giving each member of the crowd a completely unique experience and creating a sea of color in the club.
>> Construction boom: 10 downtown Dayton projects
4.) Dayton is known for having great support of our local music scene, and here is another opportunity. This event showcases three DJ’s: John Chapel, KimL and SEXBOX, each with their own style and sound. You can switch from EDM to classic hip-hop and then over to current hits.
5.) A dream for introverts and extroverts alike. You can find your place in the crowd based on like-minded listeners, or get down solo. Silent Disco is a party for everyone!
