There are Santas whose knees you want to sit on and the Santas you wouldn't mind sitting on your knee.

Both kinds and a bunch of reindeer, Christmas trees and elves will party in the Oregon District this weekend during the Oregon District's 12th Annual Santa Pub Crawl on Saturday, Dec. 9. The party starts at 5 p.m. and will last until midnight.

What's more, all that reveling is for a good cause — it supports the Marines' Dayton area Toys for Tots program. So you can feel good about getting roasty and toasty and spreading holiday cheer.

How to participate: Bring a new, unwrapped toy valued at at least $10.

Registration: Registration begins at 5 p.m. at The Dublin Pub and Oregon Express.

What's the deal with costumes? There will be a costume contest with prizes for best dressed male, best dressed female, best dressed couple and best dressed group. The contest will take place at Blind Bob's at 10 p.m.  Even if you're just crawling, you HAVE to at least wear a Santa hat.

What should you be? Check out these photos from last year’s event for inspiration.
