Comedian Bill Hader plays Miami Valley congressman in ‘Saturday Night Live’ skit

A congressman from our neck of the woods was spoofed by the “Not Ready For Prime Time Players” on Saturday, March 2.

U.S. Rep Jim Jordan, R-Urbana, was the central character of Saturday Night Live’s take on last week’s House Oversight Committee Michael Cohen hearing.

Comedian Bill Hader played Jordan and Ben Stiller played Michael Cohen.

Jordan, the top Republican ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, grilled Cohen, a former personal attorney for President Donald Trump, at Wednesday’s public hearing.  

A federal judge sentenced Cohen to 36 months in prison in December. 

Earlier in the year, Cohen admitted to lying to Congress in connection to a Trump Tower deal in Moscow.

He also pleaded guilty to eight charges including multiple counts of tax evasion and arranging illicit payments to silence women who posed a risk to Trump's presidential campaign.
