In Saturday's cold open, Leslie Jones, playing CBS News' Gayle King, grilled Kenan Thompson's incoherent Kelly, who asked to be called "victim."

"I am not going to do that," Jones said.

Between questions, Thompson's Kelly periodically burst into song in a parody of "Trapped in the Closet."

"It's 10 o'clock in the morning, and I’m talking to Oprah's friend," Thompson sang. "If I can just get through this, everybody’s gonna love me again."

Thompson-as-Kelly also slammed the Lifetime documentary "Surviving R. Kelly," saying the series made him seem like "the devil."

"And even if I was, you can't think of one nice thing to say about the devil?" he said. "I can: nice horns, gives good advice."
