Starr's publicist confirmed to Billboard that McCartney was in the studio to contribute to Starr's upcoming album. The album is set for release this year, although no date has been announced, the site reported.

Starr also shared an image of the pair posing with Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh, Starr's brother-in-law.

"What a day I'm having," he wrote.

Starr shared the photos just days after TMZ reported that McCartney, Starr, Walsh, actor Tom Hanks and musician Dave Grohl went to dinner together in Santa Monica.

Starr and McCartney last collaborated on the drummer's 2010 LP "Y Not," according to Rolling Stone. McCartney sings on the song "Walk With You" and plays bass on "Peace Dream."

Margo Price and her band performed at Variety Playhouse in Atlanta Thursday night. Before the show, Price was seen approaching a scalper selling tickets to her show. The interaction was caught on video and posted on Price's Twitter account.

Pointing to the marquee, Price asked, "Do you know this girl? Is she good?"

The scalper assured Price it's good music. Price promised to return to buy the tickets after going to the ATM.

This month, Price was nominated for artist, song and album of the year by the Americana Music Association for her latest album, "All American Made."

While some noted that the scalper was selling the tickets for $25, which was about face value, scalpers often sell fake tickets.

Georgia has strict ticket resale laws, but authorities admit enforcement is challenging.

The Smashing Pumpkins will return to the stage this summer with their first tour in nearly 20 years to feature founding members Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin and James Iha.

The “Shiny and Oh So Bright” tour coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Pumpkins’ formation and will highlight music from the group’s inception through 2000, with material from “Gish,” “Siamese Dream,” “Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness,” “Adore” and “Machina.”

Longtime Smashing Pumpkins guitarist Jeff Schroeder will also participate in the live shows, as the band will present a three-guitar lineup to “better emulate the signature tones and textures of their albums.”

Earlier this week, the band hinted at the upcoming tour with a statement regarding original bassist D’arcy Wretzky:

“In reuniting The Smashing Pumpkins, the band’s dedication remains to its fans and its music. To that, James Iha, Jimmy Chamberlin, and William Corgan haven’t played a show with D’arcy Wretzky for over 18 years. But it’s not for a lack of trying. For despite reports, Ms. Wretzky has repeatedly been invited out to play with the group, participate in demo sessions, or at the very least, meet face-to-face, and in each and every instance she always deferred. We wish her all the best, and look forward to reconnecting with you all very soon.”
