SEATTLE — After becoming the highest paid player in NFL history last week, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is giving back to his offensive line.
According to TMZ, Wilson gave each of the Seahawks’ 13 current offensive lineman $12,000 in Amazon stock.
The report was confirmed by ESPN on Monday.
Wilson and the Seahawks agreed to a four-year, $140 million contract extension, with $65 million guaranteed last Tuesday.
“Every Sunday we go to battle together,” Wilson wrote in the letter, according to TMZ. “You sacrifice your physical and mental well-being to protect me, which in turn allows me to provide and care for my family.”
Wilson has started every game of his seven-year career for the Seahawks after being drafted in the third round of the 2012 NFL draft.
