LOS ANGELES — Actress Heather Locklear was arrested Sunday on suspicion of domestic violence, according to KABC.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department told KABC that the 56-year-old actress was arrested in the Thousand Oaks neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Capt. Dean Cook of the Thousand Oaks Police told The Hollywood Reporter that Locklear was also arrested on suspicion of assault on an officer. Cook said the one count of domestic violence was a felony and three counts of battery of emergency personnel were misdemeanors.
According to TMZ, Locklear was fighting with her boyfriend. Her brother came to her home and saw them fighting and called 911. Citing unnamed sources in law enforcement, TMZ said Locklear was combative with deputies and kicked and stuck three of them.
Locklear was booked into the Ventura County jail, Cook said. KABC reported that she has since been released from custody and has a scheduled court appearance March 13.

— Media Mogul Oprah Winfrey has broken several records throughout her career, and she’s recently added another to her list of accomplishments.
The former talk show host and founder of OWN network earned a spot on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, which lists the world’s 500 richest people.
Winfrey, 64, ranked 494 on the list, making her the first black female billionaire ever featured in the round-up.
Winfrey’s fortune hit $4 billion this week thanks to her stake in Weight Watchers International Inc., according to Bloomberg. The company’s share has more than doubled since she partnered with the brand in 2015.
Her ownership of the “Oprah Winfrey Show,” her cable network OWN and recent partnership with Apple have also contributed to her fortune.
Winfrey is one of 65 women and one of six female entrepreneurs on the list. Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, ranks No. 1.

— Amandla Stenberg, an actress who gained fame as the ill-fated Rue in “The Hunger Games,” has come out as gay.
Known as a vocal supporter of social justice issues from the erasure of non-normative sexualities to the Black Lives Matter movement, Stenberg has previously said she identified herself as bisexual in public. She also said that she would also use the word pansexual to describe herself, meaning she is not limited in who she likes in terms of biological sex, gender or gender identity. At the time, she said identifying as bisexual was easier for those unfamiliar with pansexuality to understand.
In a conversation with musician King Princess for Wonderland magazine, Amandla said she is out and proud.
“So happy to say the words Yep, I’m Gay in official print,” Stenberg wrote on Instagram Sunday.
“Let’s get real right out of the gate,” King Princess said. “I don’t know if the people in the back heard you, are you gay?”
“*Insert Ellen DeGeneres’ TIME Magazine cover squat and wide smile* ‘Yep, I’m Gay,’” Stenberg replies.
Stenberg also discusses the emotional moments she’s had when she realized what her sexuality was.
“I was so overcome with this profound sense of relief when I realised that I’m gay – not bi, not pan, but gay – with a romantic love for women,” she said. “All of the things that felt so internally contrary to my truest self were rectified as I unravelled a long web of denial and self -deprivation. Like, ‘Oh, maybe there’s a reason why I kissed my best friends and felt ashamed growing up.’...
“I was flooded with a sense of calm and peace because everything that I struggled with or felt discomfort around finally made sense to me, and once those floodgates opened and years of pent up pain and shame were released, I found the freedom to live my best life waiting for me just underneath.”

— Actor Robert De Niro, a vocal Trump opponent, dropped two of F-bombs on live television at the Tony Awards in June.
His profanity-laced tirade about President Donald Trump was received by a standing ovation from the audience at the Tony Awards.
» TRENDING: Robert De Niro blasts Trump in bleeped comments
“I’m gonna say one thing: f—- Trump!” he said, waving his two fists in the air. “It’s no longer down with Trump, it’s f—- Trump!”
De Niro has criticized Trump multiple times, including during opening nights at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival in April. De Niro isn’t the first celebrity to insult a president. Here are five other times celebrities feuded with Trump:
1. Bette Midler
Bette Midler has also been vocal about her dislike of Trump in the past. The two celebrities have traded insults on Twitter.
I never liked @BetteMidler's persona or singing and haven't heard her name in years.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 28, 2012

2. Meryl Streep
The actress called out Trump during a speech at the 2017 Golden Globe Awards, highlighting the time he made fun of a disabled reporter. Trump responded on Twitter.
Meryl Streep, one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood, doesn't know me but attacked last night at the Golden Globes. She is a.....— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 9, 2017
Hillary flunky who lost big. For the 100th time, I never "mocked" a disabled reporter (would never do that) but simply showed him.......— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 9, 2017
"groveling" when he totally changed a 16 year old story that he had written in order to make me look bad. Just more very dishonest media!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 9, 2017
3. Martha Stewart
In an open letter, Trump called Stewart “terrible” and said “she “lacked the mood, temperament, and just about everything else a show needs for success.” She had her own spinoff show of The Apprentice, which Trump said was less successful than his own. She called his comments “mean-spirited.”
After Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z performed at a Hillary Clinton political rally, Trump critiqued their singing. “The language is so bad. As they were singing? Singing, right? Talking? Was it talking or singing? I don’t know. But the language – by both – but the language was so bad, that many of the people left. By the time Hillary got up, there was nobody there,” Trump said.
In 2011, Rihanna cancelled a performance at Trump charity event due to illness. When she was seen the day after the charity event at the NBA All-Star game, Trump said her cancellation was insulting. “But for Rihanna to go to the All-Star Game and perform after she told us she was sick, that is just a lack of respect,” he said.
