Home Depot’s spring hiring season has officially kicked off with the announcement that it’s looking to add 80,000 new employees to the payroll.
It’s a sure sign that spring is around the corner when the home improvement stores start hiring!
According to a press release, Home Depot says it’s looking to staff up some 2,000 U.S. stores and more than 100 distribution centers with a variety of seasonal, part-time and full-time positions available.
This year, candidates can complete a simple 15-minute application that’s built on the company’s proprietary Candidate Self Service platform.
The platform, created in-house by Home Depot engineers, allows those applying for store and supply chain positions to schedule their own interviews.
So far, some 1 million people have used the Candidate Self Service technology since it launched last spring.
