New furniture store coming to Beavercreek mall area

Furniture Fair will open another Dayton-area store in the former Toys “R” Us in Beavercreek.

The $3.3 million 2500 N. Faifield Road location will be 55,400 square feet, according to Beavercreek records.

“It’s always great to fill those large, empty, big-box tenant spaces that sometimes can be pretty difficult to fill,” said Sandra Pereira, associate city planner of Beavercreek. “We’ve been really lucky in being able to get stores like Furniture Fair…and Ross to go into those spaces that have been sitting open for some time now.”

Ross Dress For Less, a discount retailer is expected to open soon, and is hiring now, for its Beavercreek store down the street from upcoming Furniture Fair. Resale womens apparel store Clothes Mentor will also open later this month in the area.

Across North Fairfield Road, the Mall at Fairfield Commons has had success filling the vacant Sears box. Round1 Entertainment and furniture store the Room Place will open later this year.

Fairfield-based Furniture Fair has locations in Miamisburg, Colerain, Fairfield, Loveland, Dent, Oxford, Northgate, Eastgate and three stores in Northern Kentucky. It was founded in Erlanger Kentucky in 1963 by Robert Daniels and is now run by his son Rick Daniels, according to its website.
