SPRINGFIELD — Navistar will be reducing production line rates at its Springfield assembly plant, a spokesperson for the company told the News-Sun on Wednesday.

“We’re realigning production with current demand,” said Lyndi McMillan, a spokeswoman for Navistar, in an email to the News-Sun.
“This cycle is normal for our business, and this is not a shift of production to other locations,” she added, stating that Navistar is still assessing the possible impact of the reduction.
