The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce will move to its new North Main Street space next week.

The organization that represents more than 2,400 businesses announced in February that it would move to 8 N. Main Street, Suite 100 to be closer to the “heart of downtown.”

That move from the Dayton Convention Center will be Monday, the group said today.

“The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce has been a part of the fabric of downtown Dayton for more than 112 years. Now is the perfect time to reinvigorate our mission and meet the new generation of business leaders where they are,” said president & CEO Phil Parker when the move was announced earlier this year.

The move helps create a collaboration between the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, CityWide and The Port Authority — three economic development organizations. CityWide and The Port are located on the second floor of 8 N. Main Street.

“Our new space will allow for more communication and collaboration both internally, and with these partners, which will make us stronger,” Parker said. “We will be better able to join efforts to speak as the voice of business and leverage our strengths to serve our business community.”

During the move, it’s best to reach the Chamber by email, according to a statement.
