WPAFB Thursday Weather: Patchy fog, thunderstorms by late morning

Some patchy fog will be possible to start the day with lots of clouds around during the day, according to Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell.

Showers will develop by late morning into the afternoon. A few rumbles of thunder will also be possible. High temperatures will hold in the middle 70s. Any leftover rain will taper off by late tonight with areas of fog likely by Friday morning. Dry conditions are expected through most of the day Friday with highs in the upper 70s.

Temperatures will climb back into the lower 80s with partly sunny skies and breezy conditions Saturday. Some showers are expected to return Saturday night.

WPAFB Monday Weather: Possible light rain, cloudy skies expected

WRIGHT PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE—Mostly cloudy skies are expected today, and while the chance for rain isn’t as high as it was yesterday, it’s a good idea to keep the umbrella handy, said Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Brett Collar.

With some lingering moisture, some light rain or drizzle will continue to be possible today. That being said we are anticipating more dry time and not much to fall from the skies. Temperatures today will top out in the middle 40s.

Rain returns to start the new week

Rain is expected to return to the Dayton area before the weekend is over.

Mainly clear skies are expected this evening with more clouds moving in overnight, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Brett Collar said. Overnight temperatures will drop into the lower 30s.

Saturday: Lot of sunshine returns to start the weekend with a few passing clouds. It will be breezy but not as cold as highs rebound into the middle 40s.

It will be a frigid morning with upper teens starting the day. Clouds will thicken up into the afternoon but it should remain dry.

The breezy will pick up out of the west late in the day. 

Skies will clear tonight as temperatures fall back into the lower 20s.

A warming trend will get underway for the weekend with temperatures climbing into the lower to middle 40s. 

Sunshine will start the weekend with the threat for rain showers arriving by midday Sunday. Relatively milder weather is expected to stick around into next week.
