WPAFB Thursday Weather: Below freezing temps, sunshine to start to day

WRIGHT PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE—Sunshine will start the day with temperatures starting out near or below freezing, said Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell.

There will be a quick warm-up with temperatures climbing to near 50 degrees as winds pick up out of the southwest in the early afternoon. The coldest air of the season will arrive Thursday evening with quickly falling temperatures expected after dark.

With gusty winds, wind chills are expected to drop into the teens by late evening, and fall into the lower teens by Friday morning. Actual temperatures will start out in the lower 20s on Friday with highs holding in the middle 20s. Despite the cold, skies will remain mostly sunny.

A quick warm-up is expected over the weekend with increasing clouds Saturday and the chance for showers by Sunday.
