Warm and humid this afternoon with a few pop-up thunderstorms across the Miami Valley.

A pop-up shower or storm is possible through early evening. Otherwise expect partly cloudy skies and warm, muggy conditions. Temperatures will drop into the upper 70s.

TONIGHT: It will be warm and muggy with temperatures dropping into the middle 60s.

TUESDAY: Partly cloudy skies return with warm and muggy conditions. High temperatures will top out in the middle 80s. There is a slight chance for a pop-up late afternoon or evening storm.

WEDNESDAY: Another warm and muggy day is in the forecast with highs in the upper 80s. There is a slight chance for a pop-up late day storm.

THURSDAY: Expect partly cloudy skies with hot and humid conditions. Highs will top out near 90 degrees. There is a chance for passing showers or storms by late evening or at night.

FRIDAY: A mix of sun and clouds is in the forecast with occasional showers and storms. Highs will be in the upper 80s.

More sunshine is expected today, but rain is expected in the Dayton area Thursday

Mostly clear skies are expected through the evening, but clouds and humidity will build tonight ahead of a showers and storms tomorrow, according Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell.

DETAILED FORECAST 

TONIGHT: Expect increasing clouds and humidity through the night. There is a chance for a shower or storm toward morning. Temperatures will hold in the upper 60s overnight.

THURSDAY: Lots of clouds will be around with occasional showers and storms. A few storm could produce locally heavy rainfall and strong winds. Temperatures will top out near 80 degrees.

 

FRIDAY: Clouds will lingering with a chance for a passing shower or storm. Highs will top out near 80 degrees.

SATURDAY: Sunshine is back along with lower humidity and comfortable temperatures just in time to start the weekend. Highs will be in the upper 70s.

SUNDAY: Sunny skies will wrap up the weekend with highs in the upper 70s.

MONDAY: Mostly sunny and a bit warmer with highs in the lower 80s. 

International Space Station visible tonight

The International Space Station will fly over the Miami Valley late Tuesday evening.

The International Space Station will fly over the Miami Valley tonight, said Storm Center 7 Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs.

Clear skies will prevail, leaving prefect conditions to see this six minute pass across the evening sky. The space station will appear in the west southwestern sky around 9:47 p.m. and will travel to the northeast before disappearing.

The space station looks like a steady star, that does not twinkle, moving swiftly across the sky.

WPAFB Wednesday Weather: Highs in mid 80s; potential storms tomorrow

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — After a comfortable start in the morning, temperatures will be on their way back up into the middle 80s Wednesday afternoon under mostly sunny skies.

The humidity will also increase by late in the day.

A cold front will move into the region late Wednesday night, and slowly cross the Miami Valley on Thursday. This will bring an increased threat for showers and thunderstorms.

With the higher humidity returning, some of the showers and storms could produce locally heavy rainfall on Thursday.

The front will stall across the southern half of Ohio Friday as low pressure moves along the front.

This will keep the threat for some showers and storms into Friday before the front finally moves off to the south late in the day.

Cooler weather with mostly sunny skies will be back in the forecast for the weekend.

WEDNESDAY: Skies will start out sunny with some increase in clouds, mainly toward late evening. Temperatures will be warmer and humidity levels will start to increase through late afternoon. Highs will rebound into the middle 80s.

THURSDAY: Numerous showers and thunderstorms will be likely. A few strong storms are possible and could contain strong winds and locally heavy rain. High temperatures will top out in the lower 80s.

FRIDAY: Expect lingering clouds and a chance for a few passing showers or a thunderstorm. It will be a bit cooler. Highs will be in the upper 70s.

SATURDAY: Skies will become mostly sunny. It will be pleasantly warm with highs in the upper 70s.

SUNDAY: Expect lots of sunshine and highs in the lower 80s.
