Storms move through this morning, throughout the weekend

Passing showers and storms will continue to move through Friday morning. Not a complete washout today.

Thousands of people in the Dayton area were without power Thursday after a round of showers and thunderstorms.  Dayton Power and Light's website showed over 3,000 people were without power in Montgomery County alone. That number fell below 1,000 within an hour as crews worked to restore the power.

DETAILED FORECAST 

TODAY: Some dry time from during the early afternoon. Highs in the upper 70s and muggy. After 3 p.m., some more storms will redevelop. The evening commute will feature some scattered storms. An isolated severe threat exists. Main threats are wind and hail. Ponding on the roads could be a problem.

SATURDAY: Some dry time early. Sunshine and scattered clouds.Highs soar to the low 80s and muggy for the afternoon.

A boundary will lift north through the day. Some more scattered storms expected to fire off in the afternoon and early evening. Isolated severe threat again with wind and hail. Localized heavy rain possible again.

SUNDAY: More widespread showers and storms possible for the first half of the day as our cold front finally moves through. Gusty winds possible with highs in the upper 70s. Clouds decrease into the evening.

MONDAY: Cooler day but quiet. Sunshine and scattered clouds with highs around 70.
