Colder, single-digit wind chills in the region heading into Friday

Clouds will increase overnight as arctic air moves into the Miami Valley, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell said.

Temperatures will drop into the lower 20s by morning.

Thursday: Cold start in the middle 20s with wind chills in the teens. Cloudier skies through the day. Breezy as well making it feel cooler. A small chance for a few flurries remains but nothing that will bring any impacts. Highs in the upper 20s. Coldest air of the season sets up heading into Friday morning.

Friday: A frigid morning with spots in the upper teens but with a light breeze wind chill values will be in the single digits! This will be the coldest bus stop forecast of the new school year. Clouds will linger and the north may see a stray flurry or two. Clouds break into the night helping us to stay chilly into Saturday morning.

Saturday: Another bitter cold morning in the teens! Temperatures through the afternoon remain about 10 degrees below normal around 30 degrees. Some sun in the afternoon and definitely the pick day of the weekend. Clouds increase at night.

Sunday: Next storm system will approach. Snow showers will work in and mix/change to rain in the afternoon before ending as some light snow showers. Highs in the upper 30s.
