Check out the Orionid Meteor shower

The Orionid Meteor shower is active now through Nov. 7.

This shower occurs as the earth is passing through debris from Comet Halley.

It’s not necessarily as active as the Perseids in August, but is known for its fast and faint meteors, said Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Carrieann Marit.

Experts suggest giving yourself at least an hour during the pre-dawn hours for the best chance to catch a glimpse of a meteor.
