Two upcoming high school football games for local teams scheduled at Roger Bacon High School are moved to other schools in the wake of flood damage that hit the St. Bernard area last weekend.

The Week 5 football game on Sept. 23 against visiting Stephen T. Badin High School in Hamilton will be played at the University of Cincinnati’s Sheakley Athletics Center, Roger Bacon Athletic Director Steve Rossi told our media partner WCPO-TV in Cincinnati.

Another Greater Catholic League game against Dayton’s Chaminade-Julienne High School on Oct. 7 has been moved as well, but to St. Xavier High School.

Roger Bacon’s Bron Bacevich Stadium is expected to stand idle for several weeks after officials clean up the field.

The final scheduled home game Oct. 21 against Bishop Fenwick High School in Middletown is still to be determined, but Spartans coach Mike Blaut told WCPO that new turf is expected to be installed by that time at the stadium, which was built in 1954.
