LSU basketball takes on the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday in Athens, Ga. See below for information on how you can watch, listen to and stream this game.

To combat this, LSU will start junior right-hander Caleb Gilbert. Gilbert started LSU’s season-opening victory over Notre Dame, receiving a no decision after allowing 5 earned runs in 4.1 innings pitched on 9 hits.

Arkansas baseball vs. San Diego State: Preview, TV, how to watch (February 24, 2018)

Published: Saturday, February 24, 2018 @ 1:00 AM

Mountain West Conference baseball is only a one-bid league, but the winner from the conference can pull an upset or two in the NCAA Tournament in June.

Arkansas gets one of the best teams in the MWC on Saturday in the Tony Gwynn Classic. San Diego State, the host team, was coached by Gwynn for 12 seasons. The Aztecs have made the NCAA Tournament four of the last five years.

San Diego State, like the Diamond Hogs, is coming off a loss. Both teams were just dealt their first defeat of the season. Arkansas fell in the opener of the Classic on Friday to Cal Poly, 4-3. San Diego State lost to cross-city opponent San Diego University on Tuesday. Arkansas finishes the Classic on Sunday against those Torreros.

The Aztecs are picked to finish second in the Mountain West this year, but did pick up a couple of first-place votes in the preseason poll. Coach Mike Martinez has typically made SDSU into a power in recent years with pitching. Arkansas, which has only scored 4 runs its last two games after scoring 51 in its season-opening series against Bucknell, could have issues.

Still, the Razorbacks would be considered the favorite. Even with Friday’s loss, the Hogs don’t figure to drop significantly in the polls come Monday. They probably don’t need another, though.

Kansas-Texas Tech: Time, TV channel, how to watch online

Published: Saturday, February 24, 2018 @ 1:00 AM

The Kansas Jayhawks are traveling to Lubbock to take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders in a game that will essentially decide who wins the Big 12 regular season title.

The Jayhawks are fresh off a 104-74 pounding of Oklahoma and Trae Young, and will heave the benefit of four days of rest coming into the road matchup. Texas Tech is no slouch, but without Zach Smith and potentially without Keenan Evans, their chance at a win is greatly diminished.

The Red Raiders have already beaten the Jayhawks once this season, an 85-73 win in Allen Fieldhouse that solidified them as contenders. The X-factor in the game is simple, if Texas Tech is healthy they’ll be favored. If they aren’t, Kansas could hold the early edge.

Kansas-Texas Tech preview, keys to the game

  • Hit open shots. If you get an open shot on Texas Tech, you need to hit it. The Red Raiders boast one of the best defenses in the Big 12 Conference, and you have to take what they give you. If Texas Tech is down Keenan Evans, then it could end up being a defensive slugfest. Take what they give you.
  • Don’t get swept up in the crowd. Lubbock is a rowdy place, with some insane fans. There will be some heckling, and some of it might cross the line. The time to debate and talk about that behavior will be after the game ends, not during it. If the Jayhawks want to win, they need to keep their eyes on the prize.
  • If Keenan Evans plays, don’t let him take over the game. Evans is a dominant scorer in college basketball, and if he’s healthy, he should be focused on tremendously by the Jayhawks. Texas Tech is undefeated at home in conference games this season, and with Evans healthy, they’ll be even tougher. It’s up in the air whether he plays or not, but if he does, Kansas can’t let him take over. No easy shots, and no free shots.
