Dayton recruit breaks his school’s all-time scoring record

Dayton Flyers recruit Dwayne Cohill broke the Holy Name High School career scoring record for a boys or girls basketball player Friday, tallying 26 points in a 95-53 victory against Lincoln West and pushing his career total to 1,736.

Cohill passed Erin Kenneally, a 1989 Holy Name graduate, the school announced. She scored 1,724 points in her career.

Holy Name, which is located in Parma Heights, improved to 6-0. Cohill is the lone member of Dayton’s class of 2018. He committed to Dayton in September and signed in November. He began his senior season with more than 1,600 points and was already the leading boys scorer in Holy Name history.
