Bengals list Eifert as doubtful for Sunday

CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Bengals have listed tight end Tyler Eifert as doubtful for Sunday’s home opener against the Denver Broncos.

Eifert made his practice debut Wednesday after May ankle surgery and was a limited participant all three days this week.

The only other players on the injury report are backup tackle Eric Winston (back) and cornerback Darqueze Dennard (hamstring), who are listed as questionable.

Dennard, who made his season debut Sunday in Pittsburgh, was limited Wednesday but a full participant Thursday and Friday.

The Broncos will be without three starters in linebacker DeMarcus Ware (forearm), right tackle Donald Stephenson (calf) and tight end Virgil Green (calf).

Three backups are listed as questionable: wide receiver Bennie Fowler (elbow), safety Justin Simmons (hand) and linebackers Corey Nelson (ankle) and Dekoda Watson (elbow).
