It became official on January 1, 2003. George Noory took over the reins from retiring Art Bell to become the host of America's most fascinating overnight radio program. Looking back on George's life and his passion for all things unexplained, it seems almost fated that he would fulfill this unique role.
While still a teenager, George joined NICAP, the UFO organization that was a precursor to today's MUFON. George immersed himself in the field, "so much so that I decided I wanted to go into broadcasting in order to do unusual stories in the paranormal and stories that the mainstream media didn't want to touch," he told After Dark. Indeed, George's very first broadcast interview, while a young radio reporter, was with Roswell expert/physicist Stanton Friedman, with whom he has maintained a lifelong friendship.
Now with a 30-year history in the broadcasting field under his belt in such positions as executive television news producer and news director, George brings a wide swath of experience to the table. In fact, at age 28 he was the youngest major news market news director in the country. But it was just a couple of years ago that he came to the attention of Premiere Radio Networks, who heard him on his late-night radio program in St. Louis. Known as "the Nighthawk," George's penchant for covering paranormal topics with enthusiasm and skill impressed Premiere. He was then brought on board to host the Sunday night Coast to Coast show. And as Art's back problems became more severe, George was honored to fill in for him on a regular basis.
"Coast to Coast AM may just be the most unusual show I have ever witnessed or been a part of. You really almost have to be born into that arena, I think, in order to handle it. I was very lucky in that's the way I was guiding my own career. It was this thirst to really get to the bottom of some of these stories that kept pushing me," George said.
Other highlights of George's life include serving nine years in the U.S. Naval Reserve and winning three Emmy Awards as a news executive. But certainly manning the helms of Coast to Coast AM is a pinnacle for George, allowing him to pursue the unexplained on a grand scale. It's become his destiny to guide the huge audience from more than 500 radio stations through the night in this dynamic format created by Art Bell. Across America, and around the world on the Internet, George Noory's voice rings out.

What happens when a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and an everyday investor sit down each week to talk about how to better understand today's financial and retirement landscape? Investing Sense!
Every Saturday, Investing Sense hosts Andy Smith and Bob Richards each bring a different perspective as they talk about the financial and retirement topics that are on your mind – whether it’s your 401(k), managing investments and taxes for your IRA, dealing with market ups and downs or bouncing back from life’s curveballs.
Joining Andy and Bob each week are our industry experts and influencers who help break down what you need to know when it comes to your 401(k), the markets and economy, retirement income sources and avoid financial advice that's not in your best interest.
Meet the Hosts of Investing Sense™
Andy Smith, CFP®, has worked as a financial advisor for nearly 15 years and has helped thousands of investors navigate a variety of markets to achieve their long-term financial and retirement goals. Through his years of on-the-ground interactions, he’s forged an understanding of what investors need and want – not just from their accounts but from their relationships with an advisor.
Luckily, Andy’s advising doesn’t stop in the office. He’s spent more than a decade on the local and national airwaves guiding listeners toward all of their investment and retirement goals – all while offering clear and actionable advice on everything from personal finance and investing to the economy.
Between his roles as an advisor and radio-show host, Andy’s spare time is limited, but what little he does have he enjoys spending with his wife and children – he’s able to volunteer at the children’s school, and the family travels the world together.
Andy considers himself on-call 24/7 and is excited to help you achieve your financial and retirement goals – and, quite possibly, learn something cool and have fun in the process.
Bob Richards represents the voice of the everyday investor by asking the questions that are on the minds of listeners.
Until recently, Bob has been a self-proclaimed do-it-yourself investor and admits to having learned some valuable financial lessons by making mistakes just like everyone else. Because he’s not an investment advisor, he knows all too well the challenges that investors face and is ready to use his own real-life experience to help listeners avoid similar pitfalls.
Bob has been in the radio industry for over 30 years and is an award-winning radio programmer. Bob and Andy have known each other for almost a decade as their paths have crossed in the radio world. Off the air, Bob is an avid runner, reader and Colts fan. He lives in Indianapolis with his family.

— The Chad Benson Show is WHIO Radio’s newest talk show airing every Tuesday through Saturday Midnight to 1 a.m.
Chad Benson doesn’t look or sound like a typical talk radio host. And that’s a GREAT thing. Conversational, informative, irreverent and very FUNNY. Chad’s take on the issues offers a refreshing sound that gives talk listeners the hard news and opinion that they need in a thoughtful, entertaining way that they CRAVE.
At 44, Chad is part of a New Generation of talk hosts that is able to connect with talk’s existing demo while bringing new and younger listeners into the format. Chad is an accomplished talk show host boasting over 22 years experience in the entertainment industry. He started in music radio in the 1990s at the legendary KRTH in Los Angeles as the Executive Producer of the Robert W. Morgan Show and has also been featured on Los Angeles radio stations such as KZLA-FM and KNCI-FM and KWOD-FM in Sacramento. Chad has also honed his skills as a voice artist for several Hollywood productions and has been the voice of several cartoon characters.
Chad’s sense of showmanship and entertainment, developed from years in music radio, has had a huge influence on him as a talk host, which is where his true passion lies. Using this creativity from the music side of the business, Chad honed his talk skills at Talk Radio UK as one of the first commercial talk hosts to take on the mighty BBC, boasting over a quarter million listeners per week. With success and experience abroad, Chad returned to the U.S. and hosted programs in Palm Springs at K-NEWS-FM and in San Antonio at KTSA-AM. “Chad Benson is not the usual talk host. His entertaining style, and passion for talk radio, helped develop him into a great talent. He’s not afraid to go places the average talk host will not tread. Very unique!”, says Greg Martin, Operations Manager / Program Director, Alpha Media San Antonio.
In his early years, fresh out of school, Chad left everything he knew at home in Southern California to play professional soccer in Europe and was talented enough to be signed onto the rosters of several teams including the Bristol Rovers, the Fallkirk Scotland and the Portsmouth Football Club.
Chad has a son named Jack, who has changed his world.
