In February, a Porsche 911 took a shortcut in San Francisco around construction cones and drove into wet concrete.  The driver remained in the vehicle to prevent concrete from getting inside the vehicle.

Hair spray can explodes in hot car, cracks windshield

A Washington woman returned to her car after work Tuesday and found her windshield badly cracked, but it was the object stuck in the windshield that really shocked her.

On closer observation, Karmen Ayres discovered that it was a can of hair spray she had accidentally left in the backseat of the car, KGW reported.

"It launched like a rocket," Ayres told KGW. She was surprised that the can could explode with such force and do that much damage to her car. 

High temperatures caused the can to explode. KGW reported that it reached the low-90s in the Vancouver area Tuesday. 

Mail not delivered because postal carrier spooked by snakes, resident says

Residents of one Kentucky neighborhood were mystified as to why their mail was not being delivered.

After about a week of no mail delivery in a Lexington community, a concerned citizen called the post office and was told that the mail carrier had been spooked by the number of snakes in the neighborhood, according to LEX18.

The post office told the resident that the mail carrier said he saw 50 snakes in the area. The resident disputed that account, telling LEX18 that she'd only seen one snake while walking her dog.

Mail delivery service in the neighborhood should resume soon, according to the post office.

Police: Family finds drunken stranger in child's bed

A family in Virginia discovered an uninvited guest in their home early Friday morning, and he wasn't leaving any time soon.

Disree Jarman told WVEC that her 4-year-old son announced that someone was in his bed. When Jarman and her husband investigated, they found a man passed out on the child's bed.

Jarman and her husband tried to rouse the man, but when they couldn't wake him, they called police. It took three officers to get the man, Daulton Tumser, out of the bed, according to WVEC.

Police said the man appeared to be heavily intoxicated. He carried a California driver's license and a military identification card.

Jarman told WVEC that she thinks Tumser entered the home through a door that she failed to lock while letting the dogs out.

Tumser was arrested for public drunkenness, but Jarman said her family will not press further charges.

Walmart shopper wrangles deer that wanders into store

A deer that entered a Walmart store in Minnesota Tuesday evening caused a commotion when it galloped down the aisles, according to WCCO.

The deer entered the store though the garden center, according to surveillance video.

A man was able to get a hold of the deer and wrangle it to the floor, keeping it calm until employees were able to escort the deer back outside. A shopper took a photo of the bizarre scene and posted it on Facebook.

No one was injured in the incident. The image of the deer has gone viral on Facebook.
