Warming trend gets underway

Partly cloudy skies are expected tonight with a slight chance for a passing shower in the southern counties, according to Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell.

DETAILED FORECAST

Tonight: Partly cloudy skies and warm conditions with temperatures near 80 degrees into the early evening. There is a slight chance for a passing shower to the south. Partly cloudy skies continue into the overnight with lows heading towards the middle 60s.

Tuesday: Expect a mix of sun and clouds and warm temperatures in the middle 80s.

Wednesday: Partly cloudy skies are expected with some increase in clouds through the afternoon. There will be a chance for a passing shower or storm toward late in the day or evening. Highs will be in the middle 80s with muggy conditions.

Thursday: A warm and muggy day is in the forecast with a chance for passing showers and storms. Highs will be in the middle 80s.

Friday: A few showers will linger in the morning with clearing skies in the afternoon. It will be a bit cooler and less humid by afternoon with highs in the lower 80s.

Saturday: Lots of sunshine to start the weekend with highs in the lower 80s.
