Snow showers tonight, Sunday evening

A few passing snow showers are expected at times tonight, which could leave a coating on grassy surfaces, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Brett Collar said. Roads are expected to remain mainly wet though as road temperatures are above freezing. Overnight temperatures will drop into the middle 20s for most. The snow is expected to move south and taper off overnight.

DETAILED FORECAST

Saturday: A cold start to the weekend with morning temperatures in the 20s. Early clouds will give way to afternoon sunshine, but it will not help to warm much. Typically highs should be reaching close to 60 degrees, but highs on Saturday will struggle to reach 40 degrees. Skies remain mainly clear into Saturday night and cold again with lows in the lower 20s.

Sunday: Plenty of sunshine, but still cooler than normal with highs in the lower 40s. Clouds return into the night, along with the chance of light scattered snow showers.

Monday: Chance for morning snow showers with a light accumulation already by daybreak. Snow showers will come to an end then clouds linger with highs into the middle 40s.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, breezy and cool again with highs in the middle 40s. Chance of a few showers or early flurries.

Wednesday:  Finally seeing a break in the cooler temperatures with highs expected in the lower 50s for the afternoon. Also, a lot more sunshine with a few clouds around.
