Pregnant driver in U.S. 35 crash faces OVI charge

UPDATE @6:27 a.m.

A driver expected to be cited with OVI following an early morning crash in Greene County is four to six months pregnant, according to Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said two male occupants and a female driver were in the car that was struck by a semi after running a red light at U.S. 35 and North Orchard Lane in Beavercreek Twp. One of the males and the female driver got out of the car and walked to Circle K following the crash for unknown reasons, troopers said. They returned to the crash scene, and all three occupants were taken to Soin Medical Center for treatment of injuries not considered life threatening.

The driver, identified as Lauren Davidson, 24, of Kettering, will likely be cited for OVI and failure to obey a traffic control signal. Troopers said the OVI was for alcohol, and added Davidson is four to six months pregnant.
