2 injured in Huber Heights head-on crash

HUBER HEIGHTS — UPDATE @ 8:22 a.m.:

A truck driving north on Brandt Pike crossed over a median and crashed into an SUV head-on this morning in the area of Executive Blvd.

Police said the male driver of the truck and female driver of the SUV were both taken to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment of their injuries. The severity of their injuries were not immediately released.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.

INITIAL REPORT:

Police and medics have been dispatched on a reported head-on crash with two people trapped inside the vehicles on Brandt Pike in Huber Heights.

Crews were dispatched on the report at the intersection of Brandt Pike and Executive Boulevard around 7:15 a.m.

An officer driving by reported via scanner traffic, that the crash was head-on and one person in each vehicle was trapped.

Southbound lanes of Brandt Pike are blocked due to the crash, but northbound lanes are still open.

The condition of the drivers is unknown.
