Here are four events in the Miami Valley you could consider:

• HAUNTFEST ON FIFTH, 1600 E. Fifth Street, Dayton: 7 p.m. Saturday. Cost: $5 in advance, $10 at door. An adult event. Fifth Street will be closed between Patterson Blvd. and Wayne Ave. $1,800 in cash prizes will be awarded at the costume contest.
• HAUNTFEAST AT LILY'S BISTRO, 329 E. Fifth Street, Dayton: 6 p.m. Thursday. Cost: $40. A four-course Halloween themed dinner, seasonal beers and entertainment. The restaurant will be decorated for the event and costumes are encouraged.
• FSB BROOFEST, Fifth Street Brewpub, 1600 E. Fifth Street, Dayton: 4-11 p.m. Thursday. Trick or Treat for adults. Beer and candy will be paired. Special treats for those in costume.
• MUTTS GONE NUTS, Victoria Theatre, 138 N. Main Street, Dayton: 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday. Cost: $15. Scott and Joan Houghton and their hilarious pack of pooches have created a comedy dog thrill show. Ages 4 and up. 60-minute presentation, with no intermission.
