A 16-year-old girl was seriously hurt when the 1998 Dodge Dakota she was driving went over an embankment in Darke County.
The crash happened shortly before 6 p.m. in the 2800 block of Ohio 571.
The driver failed to negotiate a curve near Wagner Road and went off the roadway and down a steep embankment, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
Careflight responded and transported the girl to Miami Valley Hospital in serious condition, according to the sheriff’s office.
The crash remains under investigation.
