Springfield senior center moves into new home

The new United Senior Services center in downtown Springfield was bustling with activity Friday as employees and volunteers moved into their new location.

The old Eagles property at 125 West Main St. underwent a $6 million renovation to become the new senior center.

“It’s been a fun day but busy,” said Maureen Fagans, executive director of United Senior Services of Clark County. “We intend to be done with the moving process (Saturday).”

The center will be open to the public Tuesday, and a grand opening is planned for September 1.
