A local couple watched the Dayton Flyers upset Syracuse from the delivery room at Kettering Medical Center.

Maeve was born to Adam and Chelsie Maloney during halftime of Saturday's NCAA tournament game.

Chelsie Maloney is a University of Dayton graduate.

The new dad said Maeve's birth during the game was very appropriate because the couple's first date was a Flyers game at the University of Dayton Arena in February 2010.

They were engaged at Carillon Park and had their wedding reception in the Flight Deck at UD Arena.

The Centerville couple had the game on in the delivery room.

"I had a good view of the TV at her request because she was asking for updates, because she wasn't able to quite see the television," Adam Maloney said.

"It seems fitting that the first thing our baby saw was a Flyer berth in the Sweet 16," he told us.
