Pedestrian hit on Little York Rd. in Butler Twp.

UPDATE @ 9:15 a.m.

Police said an officer was heading to the report of a man walking in the middle of the road on Little York Road when a pedestrian was struck in the same area by an RTA bus.

The pedestrian apparently was running to catch the bus and somehow fell in front of it; the bus driver tried to swerve out of the way but the bus rolled over the man’s ankle and foot, according to Butler Twp. police.

Police said the incident remains under investigation, but it appears the man was not crossing the road in a crosswalk and he was struck down a ways from the bus stop.

The victim was taken to Grandview Hospital for treatment.
