Thousands run in Dayton’s Color Vibe 5K

Thousands of runners lined up this morning in Dayton and added a little color to their morning run in the name of charity.

An estimated 5,000 runners were doused with bright, neon colored powders as they passed certain points along the route during the local Color Vibe 5K Run.

Participants started at Welcome Stadium and headed down Edwin C. Moses Boulevard to West Stewart Street and South Patterson Boulevard before looping back to the stadium.

Color Vibe events are held in cities throughout the country to benefit charities. Proceeds from Dayton’s Color Vibe event are dedicated to the Miami Valley Down Syndrome Association.
