Water main break blocks Main Street in New Carlisle

UPDATE @ 6:25 p.m.:

A water main break could have a downtown road closed for about two hours.

Main Street (Ohio 235 North) was blocked while New Carlisle Water Department workers repaired a 6-inch to 8-inch pipe that ruptured.

FIRST REPORT

A water main break has blocked part of a roadway this evening in downtown New Carlisle.

The break happened shortly before 5 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. According to a city staff member, there is water in the middle of the road and city crews were dispatched to make repairs.

The road is temporarily closed in the area of the break.
