Semi driver says another truck forced him off highway

A semi went off Interstate 75, through a guardrail and came to a stop blocking another road early this morning.

The driver told troopers he was forced off the highway by another truck.

The crash happened around 5 a.m. on the southbound side of the highway near the Needmore Road exit.

The semi was blocking Payne Avenue between Needmore and Timber Lane.

No one was hurt.

The driver was headed to Kentucky to pick up auto parts. He will likely not be cited, according to troopers.

The EPA was called to the scene to test the soil because the truck spilled about 70 gallons of diesel from its tank.
