Patchy fog overnight; Looking dry for July 4th

QUICK-LOOK FORECAST

  • Patchy fog overnight
  • Calmer, still below normal late week
  • Looking dry for July holiday

DETAILED FORECAST

Overnight: High pressure will build in overnight, allowing for partly cloudy skies, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell said. Some patchy areas of fog will develop late as temperatures fall. We will gain one-second at 7:59:59 because of an added "leap second." Overnight low will drop to 59 degrees.

Wednesday: After some morning low clouds and patchy fog, skies will become mostly sunny toward lunch with a few scattered clouds developing during the afternoon. Temperatures will remain below average with highs in the upper 70s.

Thursday: Clouds will be on the increase during the morning with a shower or thunderstorm possible mainly in our southern counties. A bit more sunshine will be possible in the northern Miami Valley, generally north of I-70. Highs will be in the lower 80s.

Friday: Skies will be partly cloudy. It will be pleasantly warm. Highs will top out in the lower 80s.

Saturday (July 4): Dry weather is expected for the holiday as a frontal boundary looks to stay just to our south through evening. Highs will stay in the lower 80s.

Sunday: Partly sunny skies are expected to start the day. However, as high pressure moves off to the east, winds will turn out of the south and bring up more moisture. By afternoon, a pop-up shower or thunderstorm will be possible. Highs will top out in the lower 80s with more humid conditions.
