Flyer fans dropped off many of these UD-themed goodies to our media center. We couldn't resist the photo, nor the cupcakes!

DAYTON —

WHIO has been the home for the Flyers for over 60 years, and we couldn't be prouder of the team, the coaches, the University and the fans.

In celebration, and to wish the Flyers good luck, Let's Paint the town Red!

We are lighting up the exterior of the WHIO TV/Radio and Dayton Daily News (Cox Media Group) building, just across from the University of Dayton campus, at 1611 South Main Street.

As we salute the Flyers, we encourage everyone in the Miami Valley to show your colors, and wear Flyer red and/or blue on Thursday.

"As a media company, we strive to stay neutral in our coverage. But with our hometown team, the Flyers, making Dayton history this week in the Sweet 16 game, we are proudly wearing UD colors," said Vice-President of Content Jana Collier. "Our building will be red, and we're encouraging employees to wear red on Thursday. We hope our whole community will get behind this effort to paint the town red."

We're also setting up a Twitter hashtag for UD Fans to share their photos of Painting the Town Red, #UDred. Post photos on Twitter with the hashtag and let the world see your Flyer pride.

The game will be broadcast on WHIO-TV and "Flyer" 95.7 WHIO radio Thursday night. The voice of the Dayton Flyers, Larry Hansgen and long time broadcast partner Bucky Bockhorn will bring you coverage from Memphis, beginning with the Bud Light Pre-game Show at 6 p.m., tipoff at 7:15pm.
