Humidity could trigger Memorial Day storms

Cloudy skies this evening will persist and a passing sprinkle is possible, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Rich Wirdzek said. Temperatures will be in the 50s. But later tonight, skies will clear out. It will again be chilly for this time of the year. Lows in the mid-40s.

Friday: More sun will help warm things a bit. A very weak cold front will attempt slide into the area, but will diminish as it advances. Some clouds will move through as a result, but no rain is expected. Highs in the low 70s.

Saturday: Mostly sunny and nice. Highs in the low 70s.

Sunday: Partly cloudy, warmer and a bit more humid. Highs near 80. A passing shower or thunderstorm will be possible later Sunday night.

Memorial Day: Warm and humid with widely scattered thunderstorms possible late in the day and in the evening. Highs in the low 80s.

Tuesday: A few more thunderstorms will be possible in the afternoon and evening. Highs near 80.
