2 injured in Beavercreek fire pit incident

UPDATE @ 10:41 p.m.

Two people were taken to Miami Valley Hospital tonight after they suffered injuries stemming from an incident involving a fire pit.

Lt. Christine Hawker of the Beavercreek Twp. Fire Department confirmed firefighters and medics were called around 9:15 p.m. on a report of a propane tank explosion in the 4000 block of Maple Hill Terrace. However, Hawker said a propane tank wasn’t involved, and that a neighbor who called 911 misunderstood what had happened.

Hawker declined to release how the two adults were injured, nor how severe they were injured.
